...continued This is the comment from Mark Hernandez, Maintenance leader at the plant in Weslaco, Texas: At this time, after 5 years experience with two PM-LUFT/Tornum Grain Coolers we are starting a project which will fix one of our Grain Coolers in place with solid ducting to each of our three large bulk tanks. At the same time we are installing a rigid duct system in the large tanks which will automate unloading of these tanks, using the all steel PM-LUFT/Tornum KANALSYSTEM®. The project will allow chilling of any of the three tanks while any other tank is being unloaded. This will greatly increase our flexibility. The PM-LUFT/Tornum Grain Cooler has been used on the smaller tanks as the sole source for drying our sorghum crops and has proved to be very functional in tandem with our aeration system, designed by PM-LUFT/Tornum. We can now safely store corn in the large bulk tanks for long periods, taking the burden off us for additional cold storage warehouse space. It is our opinion that our two PM-LUFT/Tornum Grain Coolers are very useful tools in maintaining quality and avoiding insect problems. Go back
